This weeks Throwback Video is Teena Marie singing "If I Were A Bell" on BET's Video Soul. This is back when singers actually could sing...had for real talent, and not just a cute face and a marketing gimmick. Can you picture Keyshia Cole, Ciara, or Rihanna on 106&Park singing live...sounding half this good? Oh...and peep that sexy Donnie Simpson...looking all types of yummy. Did anybody else have a crush on him or was it just me? Something about the eyes just did it for me. My only problem is, why Donnie just stand there and look at her while she sang? But like a true professional Teena was unfazed and laid down an amazing vocal performance. Could Keri Hilson do the same with Terrence all in her mug? I think not.
Lol To be honest Ciara and Rihanna can't really sing. Rihanna sings out her nose and Ciara talks through her songs! Ooh wee!! I never heard her sing before...*shame face* She has a beautiful voice and that's a nice so too.
